Mike Gremillion (Chief Instructor)

Mike has been instructing from the Big Bear Airport for over 10 years and has logged over 6000 Flight hours. Specializing in the use of the Blackwood and Union hand controls. Mike has taught many pilots disabled and able-bodied, private through CFI . His most recent student with a disability went from a 20 hour student to a CFI in less than one year. Mike has also spent the last 6 years flying Air Attack on Forest fires for the BLM, and U.S. Forest Service. His devotion to aviation is evident and he will most definitely be teaching students to fly for many years to come.

Robert Nye

With over 17,000 flight hours Bob has flown most of the world in a wide variety of aircraft.  While serving in the Marine Corps he flew over 600 combat missions in UH-34 helicopters and C-130 aircraft.  As a Captain with Alaska Airlines he flew the MD-80 for 10 years and spent 8 years flying the B-737 throughout Alaska.  In 2003 he retired from Alaska and began instructing in Big Bear and flying air attack for the Forest Service and BLM.

Louis Lombardo

As a long time resident of Big Bear Lake, Louis (Luigi) a retired airline captain with over 6,000 flight hours has been flying since 1970. Louis started flying air tours in the Grand Canyon and on the Hawaiian Islands in the early 1980's. Louis received his training through American Airlines, and the British Aerospace of England. Louis has also competed successfully in Aerobatic competition in the 1990's. Not only is Louis a seasoned CFI he also has an ATP with ratings in a Boeing 737 and the BAE 146 aircraft. With his experience and teaching technique's you'll be taught by one of the best.

Bill Jones

Every pilot who has been flying in Big Bear for any length of time knows and respects Bill.  He has been instructing and flying charter out of Big Bear since 1977 and has 4,000 hours of instruction time out of over 6,500 hours total.
In addition to private pilot training Bill is an experienced Lancair instructor and has four years experience working with disabled pilots.
